Kennet District Gymnastics Club is situated on Hambridge Road, Newbury, in a facility it acquired in summer 2011. With help from club members we have transformed a tired looking warehouse into a fantastic Gymnastic facility with modern gymnastic equipment and two foam pits.

Kennet District Gymnastics Club aims to provide a professional coaching service to produce a good standard of gymnastics for Berkshire and South Region.

KDGC was founded in October 2008 by volunteer Tony Horne with the aim of offering children the opportunity to experience gymnastics in a safe and friendly environment with professional volunteer coaches.

The Club is affiliated to the British Gymnastics Association, and to the South Region Gymnastics Association and has a full Child Protection Policy in place and a nominated Welfare Officers. All coaches are registered with BGA and have enhanced DBS checks. We also have the prestigious GymMark accreditation from British Gymnastics which confirms we are a safe, well run club.

Kennet District Gymnastics Club is run by a group of professional coaches and gymnasts’ parents on a voluntary basis.

Kennet District Gymnastics Club is being run as a non-profit making organisation. Any money that is earned over and above our costs is invested back into the club to purchase new equipment as and when appropriate. We also have a ‘hardship’ fund for families of talented gymnasts who may be unable to meet the full cost of training.
